The Meridian branch of the MA / ATM had its inaugural meeting in November 2008 in Reading. It aims to attract teachers at all levels of seniority, including before and during initial training, from both the primary and secondary sectors. We regularly meet twice a year, and generally attract about 30-40 attendees to our Saturday morning meetings (usually held in Reading, but our name derives from the area served by the local TV company, which encompasses Berkshire, Hampshire and South Oxford). Our aim is to provide a lively session that is a little different to CPD provided in the week: something worth getting out of bed early on a Saturday for and something to take straight back to our classrooms and enjoy with our pupils. Bookstalls from MA, ATM and Tarquin are also a big draw, as is the opportunity to meet colleagues from other schools. If you live within striking distance please do come and join us at our future meetings. Details will be on this page.
