MA supports calls for the relocation of the 2022 International Congress of Mathematicians 25 February 2022

The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) is planned to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, in July 2022.

The London Mathematical Society (LMS) and the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) have both issued statements strongly recommending that the organising body of  ICM, the International Mathematical Union (IMU), does not hold ICM in Russia in 2022 in view of the military situation in Ukraine.
