Bursary places available to attend our Annual Conference

Bursary places available to attend our full 3 day Annual Conference ‘Mathematical Visions’

We are pleased to announce that there are a limited number of bursary tickets available to cover full attendance of our three-day annual conference ‘Mathematical Visions’, taking place on 12th – 14th April.  These places are kindly funded by the London Mathematical Society (LMS).

Mathematical Visions will consist of a 2 day virtual online event on 12th - 13th April, followed by an inspiring face-to-face conference and exhibition at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon on 14th April. Confirmed exhibitors so far include: White Rose Maths, Collins, Get Further, Complete Maths, OCR and Massolit.

This flagship event will bring together experts in the field of mathematics to deliver a series of keynote and breakout sessions on engaging, inspiring and the evolution of mathematics for the future.

Keynote speakers include: MA President Dr Chris Pritchard, Professor Anne Watson, Jo Morgan, Susan Okereke and Chris Smith.

The three-day conference programme is now available to view on our conference website:

  • Day 1: virtual

  • Day 2: virtual

  • Day 3: face-to-face conference and exhibition

 

Are you eligible? How to apply for a funded place

LMS funded bursaries are available to attend the full conference which includes two virtual days on the 12th and 13th April AND the one day in-person conference and exhibition on 14th April in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Applications from anyone satisfying the following conditions are encouraged to apply:

  • Any teacher of mathematics within the first 5 years of teaching

The deadline for applications has been extended. Please send your application by 8th April 2022.

Funded bursary from our Branches Committee

Our Branches Committee is also pleased to announce that one bursary of £120 is available to cover the cost of a full conference ticket.

Applications are encouraged from anyone satisfying the following conditions that the person will be:

  • A first-time delegate at a MA conference

  • A paid member of the MA before 31st March 2022

  • Prepared to write a report on their experiences at the conference for publication in MA News, on our website etc.
