NCETM-sponsored teacher and student awards for STEM - Does maths count?

In many cases teachers have professional contacts related to subjects they teach. For this Special Award we are looking for teachers to interview professionals related to subject areas (including Maths) that use Maths as part of their working life. The aim of this Award is to highlight the importance of Mathematics in curriculum subjects such as the arts, humanities and sport, alongside the STEM subjects, offering understanding of the importance of Maths and its relevance in careers. The interview should look at professionals in any field of work that use maths as part of their daily lives. The interview does not necessarily have to relate to a subject that you teach but one that you, as a teacher may be interested in. Applicants should aim for a word count of 1 500 words for their finished article.
