Sliders
To solve these pzzles you will need either counters or coins – 6 for Puzzle 1 or 8 for Puzzles 2 and 3.
The aim in each puzzle is to interchange the positions of the counters/coins in as few moves as possible.
In each move you slide one counter to an empty space. The counter may slide as far as you like, but must not disturb or jump over other counters.
The illustrations below show the starting positions of 6 or 8 red and blue counters. The solution to Puzzle 1 is given on Page 13, but, be warned, Puzzles 2 and 3 take more than 30 moves .
