Equals: realising potential in mathematics for all is a magazine for those working to ensure that all pupils benefit from mathematics. The SEN code of practice, the revised National Curriculum and the National Numeracy Strategy are now being implemented across the country. Classroom teachers need the best support to develop good practice in line with these initiatives. Equals provides such support through the exchange of ideas.

Equals contains
  • updates on issues affecting practice,
  • descriptions of teachers' experiences,
  • reviews of books, packs and equipment,
  • practical ideas for the classroom,
  • materials to photocopy.
  • summaries of recent research

Equals is produced by teachers and curriculum/SEN specialists dedicated to opening up mathematics to low attainers. It is published by the Mathematical Association and backed by SENJIT (the Special Educational Needs Joint Initiative Training unit at the University of London Institute of Education).

Equals offers a valuable resouce for mathematics and SEN at a low price. The annual subscription rates are: UK: £15, overseas (surface mail): £16.40, overseas (air mail): £19.
