Using dynamic geometry for KS3 mathematics:
Geometer's Sketchpad (GSP)
 Below are 7 zip files, each containing a word doc and all necessary GSP files to complete 7 useful tutorials to help you using the GSP software.
*You will, of course need Geometer's Sketchpad installed on your computer to get started.
All these tutorials are also available in CAB (Cabri) format here

| This section focuses on using GSP to support Geometrical Reasoning in KS3; Shape Space and Measures. You will meet and use some pre-prepared GSP files to accompany pp 178-201 of the Supplement of examples: Years 7, 8 and 9 from the Framework for teaching mathematics . As far as is sensible, the files are the dynamic versions of the static images from the pages of the Framework. You may just use them exactly as they appear, or you may prefer to personalise them in preparation for a particular lesson; guidance is given. CAB version |
