DfES Funded In-School Support

DfES funded In-School Support for embedding ICT in KS3/4 mathematics

The funding potentially supports one ‘local’ provider to spend some time in your school helping your department develop its effective use of ICT within Mathematics. The focus, date(s) and length of time of your training are to be agreed between yourself and the local provider, with whom you will liaise directly.

The constraints on the local provider include the limited time they have available for this support – so early contact of the named person is recommended. Also, of course, the ICT skills of these local leaders differ from person to person – please contact them direct to see whether their skills and your needs match!

Should your training needs and the provider’s skills match, the focus, timing and duration of the training will be agreed between yourself and the provider. As a part of the condition of funding teachers will need to:

  • Complete and return the ‘In School Support: Evaluation Form’ following the training and
  • Either before, during or shortly after the training is completed, register for the ‘Self Review Framework’.  Registration is completed by accessing the SRF, selecting one of the three relevant elements - Learning and Teaching, Curriculum, Professional Development - and completing a minimum of one of the strands during, or the week after the event.

Please contact your ‘local’ provider by email as below
